Developer and HOA Executive Board Member Caught Dumping

Developer and HOA Executive Board Member Steven Maglisceau of Marlin Atlantis Caught Dumping By Builder and Police In Cross Oak Ranch

(Cross Roads, Tx)  Oak Point Police were called in to investigate a suspicious vehicle dumping trash in the "Lakes At Cross Oak" area of the Cross Oak Ranch sub-division early Sunday morning.

The initial report was called into local authorities around 11am Sunday morning by Cross Oak Ranch resident and Twinmark builder Joe Crowley.  Upon further investigation by Oak Point Police, the subject was identified as Steven Maglisceau, Senior Project Manager for Marlin Atlantis, the master developer overseeing the development of Cross Oak Ranch, and appointed Treasurer of the Cross Oak Ranch Homeowners Association.

According to Crowely, Oak Point Police asked if charges would be filed, but due to the complex relationship between Maglisceau and his employer Twinmark Homes, it was agreed that no charges would be levied if Maglisceau cleaned up the mess and left the property.

Neither Maglisceau nor Marlin Atlantis has agreed to comment on the incident, leaving many residents curious if this is common practice amongst their Homeowner Association Board Members to utilize portions of their property for dumping purposes.

Barnyard, Cloverfield - Double Feature In The Park Saturday Night

Bring your lawnchairs and blankets it's time to enjoy a night out in the community on Saturday, July 5th as we present "Barnyard" and "Cloverfield" in the first Cross Oak Ranch Drive In-night, in the field next to the main playground!

The Cross Oak Ranch Homeowners Association has funded the company that will be providing a giant outdoor movie screen for this event, and the COR Resident Advisory Council will have refreshments for sale to help raise money for future events and programs within the community.

"The Resident Advisory Council will be organizing additional events throughout the summer." Says Earl Sanders, Advisory Council President. "These events will be resident run for all to participate in and enjoy."

Events that are "In the Works" include additional movie nights, Pool Party's, and more!  Residents who would like to get involved with helping organize these events, and work with the advisory council are urged to go to the My Cross Oak Ranch website forums where you can find information on our council.

The goal is to have things to do on the weekends for our community.  From organizing youth sporting events such as Flag Football, horseshoes, soccer and softball to pool parties, and other social events for everyone in the community.  The Resident Advisory Council hopes to bring about a sense of pride in our community and instill some great memories of living here.

"Everyone talks about the good old days of their youth, when the whole community got involved in games and cookouts and neighbors were close friends and not just "those" people next door. We can have all of that again right now! We just have to get up and make it happen and quit waiting for someone to come by and hand it to us",says Sanders.

The council is also looking for teens in the community to join a "Youth Advisory Board" to help with volunteering and planning for events and community programs geared toward them.

"We need our kids to know and realize that are valued members of our community and they have some ownership here as well." said Sanders.
